The unconventional Aspie knows no bounds
Although we often have sensory issues to light and sounds
We live in our own world and need some space
This does not mean we want to be separate from the human race
Our lives are spent in a jigsaw puzzle not knowing the piece which is supposed to fit
But when given a chance to be heard and understood we can then better sit
We all have our individual road to follow
But we don't really look for pity or sorrow
We have our different means of wiring
But to the world we may not be all aspiring
Some of us just carry out our own unique struggles
While for most of us Aspies we do not fit into the conventional worlds jigsaw puzzles
Although we appear the same to the human race
Our true identity is more than just what exacts within our face
We may not fit into the jigsaw puzzle as the exact piece
But this does not mean that our lives as Aspies need to cease
We are just the same as you are too
Although we exist in numbers less than few
So we don't want the world to change to be all one way
But if you could try to understand then this will liven our day
The unconventional Aspie has a right to be
But all we ask is for others to see
There is a person behind the mask
So just be accepting and patient is all we ask.
