Brisbane starting to move forward with Asperger Syndrome Awareness

I begin to draw comfort in that Brisbane is starting to provide more support for both adults and children with Asperger Syndrome. This is evident as firstly Professor Tony Attwood resides here and more importantly we have people who are committed to ensuring that more support and services are made available. In Brisbane we have apart from Dr Tony Attwood's clinic at Petrie, Asperger Services Australia which is based at Zillmere, Minds and Hearts, UQ Asperger Adults and more importantly a new music group "Music for Growth" for adults with Asperger Syndrome. It is pleasing to know that services are beginning to improve here and should you be interested in finding out more about any of these services, please visit "Some Useful Links on Asperger Syndrome" on this website. For people overseas, please visit WrongPlanet a forum for people and people interested in or needing to find out more about Asperger Syndrome and other information also in the links on this website.

Over the ensuing months, I will be involved in more Asperger Syndrome Advocacy but the wheels of progress do move slowly. It is good to see though the squeaky wheel is starting to be heard. More updates will be provided so please stay tuned to this website and other information and useful resources for now!
