What to do when things don't work out

All of us go through good times and bad but for those of us with Autism, failure can be taken very personally. It can also seriously deflate self esteem and a sense of purpose. Some strategies to deal with difficulty are as follows

1. An Aspie should never compare themselves to an NT

2. Try to take expectations more slowly or perhaps figure out steps prior to attempt

3. Try to always be optimistic despite the struggles

To my critics who have informed me that I am negative. I do not see myself as negative, I more so see myself as realistic. Life with Autism is not always roses and champagne it can often be climbing mountains and watching your step as you climb the mountain.

Every person is different and some people do excel in life while other people just have to play the cards they are given. The best thing is to be strong and safeguard yourself during times of difficulty. Always see hope despite the darkness and never submit to losing your anger to people who can make life difficult for you. Strength ultimately wins in the end it just depends on how much strength you can commit in a lifetime.
