What I could do if I get myself fit
I have now booked into gym sessions with the hope of getting my 37 soon to be 38 year old body into shape. I realise the importance of maintaining good health to not only keep fit but to control and reduce anxiety levels. As I have no commitments, I often think about the possibilities of mountain climbing overseas. Perhaps just a dream or a challenge but I often think about South America, New Zealand or somewhere around the Himalayas which are slightly ambitious. I also contemplate doing a walk perhaps Milford Track in New Zealand or the Cradle Mountain Walk in Tasmania. I do like to be totally free and free of the chains of expectations and regulations of Brisbane suburbia. Perhaps I can only think about and ponder such challenges but life is what you make of it and if you keep looking at doom and gloom, the road may not lead somewhere. I have been to Europe on my own, the United States and much closer to home, New Zealand and Tasmania. Getting fit though and having a challenge is also good to look forward too. Over the coming months starting from this Thursday, I will be starting the gym program so as to keep myself out of the health problem vacuum that begins in men as they start to hit the 40 period. I guess you can only dream but dreams are what keep you alive and looking forward with your life whether some succeed and others may not.
