Escape to rural abyss

This weekend I am in Stanthorpe and I like to go here to avoid the rat race and trappings of Brisbane. Having recently been overseas, I look at the surrounds and they seem different with the ubiquitious eycalpyts and Granite Rocks that come into view once you climb the second Stanthorpe Range. This morning I drove to nearby Storm Creek Dam and then went into Stanthorpe to visit Sentimental Rocks and the creek which flows through the town centre. Last night, well this morning the temperature dropped to 0 degrees celcius and a light frost descended on the landscape around me. I have just had 2 vegemite sandwiches for lunch and a piece of date loaf. Although I can eat more, I hope to have something more soon. As I write this the Prime Minister has announced an election and it will be interesting to see how things unfold. She mentioned Autism, well if she can help out people with Autism, this would be greatly appreciated. I like the solitude of Stanthorpe and the sounds of birds and the wind in the trees. I often get tired of feeling I need to conform to some kind of regulated, closed minded way of thinking but being eccentric I usually be myself at any rate. Abyss is something an Aspie treasures more so than others I think.
