Dear Friend,
I am writing to you because I believe that this may be of
interest to you.
We have been inundated with enquiries about how to start up
businesses similar to our Specialisterne model – that is
matchmaking companies and people with ASD. In fact, the
interest has been so great that we have decided to host a
conference in Copenhagen on May 10-11 2011, where we can share
our knowledge, experiences and successes - from how to get
funding, to practical day-to-day management, to what it's like
to run this kind of business.
We also hope that this conference will provide a forum for
like-minded people to share their experiences, where we can
talk about how best we can remove the divide between specialist
people (our term for high functioning people with ASD and
similar challenges and the labour market), and where we can take
positive steps towards achieving our goal of enabling one
million jobs around the world.
We've put together a really exciting program that includes very
inspirational guest speakers, as well as the chance to do some
networking with people who share the passion for making a
difference.
I've travelled to a lot of different countries this past year,
and I've met a lot of great inspirational people with whom I
feel connected. I'd like to share some of those experiences
with you at the conference.
