Dealing with Moods and Emotion

Often times or mostly, I find it hard to feel emotion. Sometimes my moods can change from feeling on top of the world and then shift to coping and sometimes rock bottom. I really don't know what I can attribute it too but I think the Aspie brain has some problems with processing information and dealing with emotion. As an Aspie guy, I tend to find it hard to show emotion when and where I am expected to show it. I get tired of the socialisation process at times and the isolation and labeling of people who are different as some kind of freaks. I wonder if Aspies suffer from Alexithymia Disorder which tends to affect emotion? For Aspies I think we are in a constant wave of depression but we are able to rise above it to an anxious coping state or below it to a survival coping state. I may not speak for all adults but sometimes after you have had intensive socialisation you can feel a sense of being deflated afterward. You can question whether you are good enough and sometimes experience feelings of meltdown. One of the things I suffer from is my mind starts to wander from one topic to another. I can concentrate for specific periods and then find my mind wandering onto something else. You are never really interested in something as you are more so obsessed with it and everything else becomes a blur. Aspies are not really obsessed with materialism and modesty is just as acceptable. Things need to be simple and often we spend periods of time in our own company.
